The Hazelip Family

This session was near and dear to my heart. I met the Hazelip Family when I first moved to Nashville 8 years ago. Since then it’s been my privilege to serve alongside them with their incredible ministry, “Front Porch Ministry.”

In short, they left the suburbs of Brentwood to live with, love and care for families in the inner city. Amazing ministry, amazing family. My how their family has grown since I met them!

Just for kicks, here’s what the front porch normally looks like!

The Hazelips, by their own admission, LOVE printing and hanging photos in their home. A brief glance around the home reveals this truth 🙂

We designed several wall collections from their session. The photos below were taken using an iPad app specifically designed to help families choose just the right artwork, and see it on their walls before purchasing.

A canvas collection for the main wall in the foyer. They loved the “walking on the bridge” family photo the most, so that will be a large print, proudly displayed in the center. The two black and whites will frame the sides, while still allowing plenty of room for mom to decorate the blank spaces.

Mom also found several vintage window panes, so before the session we planned to fill these with photos. She made a special request for individual photos of each of their 4 kids posing with each of the other siblings…make sense? It sure made for some fun shooting, and now they’ll look amazing on their staircase wall.

Last but not least, they ordered a custom-designed family album to commemorate this time in the life of their family. I bet they’ll be checking their doorstep every day until it arrives 😉
