One year ago today, I left my safe, secure, comfortable sales job to become a full time professional photographer.
I still remember how I felt that first day – like I had been punched in the gut, and was suddenly drowning.
I was overwhelmed with all of the responsibilities I had suddenly assumed, and all of the things I wanted to accomplish. Thankfully, I made it through those first few days, and now I’m proud to say it’s been a year.
I want to give a huge shout out to all of my wonderful clients. You are the people who have made this possible. You keep me going when the going is tough. Thank you for letting me channel my creative passion to help make a difference in your lives. That is something I truly and enjoy, and I don’t ever want to take it for granted.
I also want to say thank you to my friends and family, the people who support me. Running a small business is really hard, and I also couldn’t do it without you.
Here’s to many more years of creating images together!
To celebrate, I’ve created a collage with some of my favorite images from this past year. You can hover over a photo or click on it to see a larger version. See if you can find yours!
